Love Takes Time

Laura and Vinny were rival lawyers
On opposite sides of a big lawsuit.
Vinny was defending a matchmaker,
Eveline, who believed in a “three date” rule.
“True love is not always instant,” she said.
All couples sign a contract to that affect.
Keeping it enforced is another story.
Everyone has notions of whom they will love.
Some forget the power of healthy disagreements.
This statement made Vinny look at Laura.
It was hard not to admire her presence.
Many arguments could be had with her.
Each one would be a pleasure in the future.
