My Take: “Gatsby” Best Film of 2013

Was Baz Luhrmann’s take on Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby perfect? Maybe not, but it was visionary, and (for me) unforgettable. With all the Oscar-contenders being released just under the wire, I want to make sure this film garners some appreciation. Here’s why… (read on ->)

  1. Hi Alex. I haven’t read the book as it happens. And I really enjoyed the film, great twist at the end. For me it was all about perception. Just watched the American Hustle and if you like twists in the tale there are plenty of those in that one too on a similar theme.

    • I’m glad you were so happy with your present. I really enjoyed American Hustle, too. I heard some people found it slow, but I thought it moved well. You’re right to compare it to “Gatsby.” They both test the viewers ideas on what is moral vs. what is legal. Thanks.
